nails | how I'm regrowing my nails

One of the most asked questions I get on IG is "OMG, are those your nails?" or "you do your own nails??" and the answer is always yes! (I've had two manicures in the last 3 years and had issues both times...) I'm a bit of a control freak when it comes to my mani and pedis, so every Sunday, I get out my tools and get to work.

A month or so ago, I was having a lot of breakage on the tips and peeling of the polish, two things I don't really ever have to deal with. I chalked it up to the cold weather and just kept hoping it would get better. Well when I woke up with the worst canker sore in my mouth and googled why you get one, I saw you could be lacking vitamin E. Well guess what else I learned when you have a vitamin E deficiency? Yep, you guess it-brittle nails. I was shocked. Not only was it effecting my nails, but I was getting painful sores too? I had enough.

I promptly ordered more of my fave hair, skin, & nails gummies and hit Rite Aid to grab some vitamin E. I literally can't not have nail polish on, but I didn't want to continue to deal with the chipping, so I grabbed two different shades of the Essie Treat, Love, and Color line that helps strengthen while the polish looks pretty.

I'm tackling this thing head on, so I can get back to my long, real nails ASAP!

Do you prefer short or long nails? Have any tips for growing long, pretty nails? Let's chat in the comments,
