rebranding | what's next?

I'm not even sure where to start with this as the idea to rebrand came out of nowhere. I mean seriously, nowhere. Let's set the scene, this past Friday night, my childhood bestie, Jen was going to meet me at my work so we could go grab some dinner & do a little shopping. I got in her car (I actually left work on time, it was a miracle!) and she asked me if I wanted to take her family's Christmas pictures-I was flattered and instantly said yes, duh! Then I went on this mini rant as we sat in traffic about how I've been meaning to get pics done, but I'm just "the laziest blogger". Then I said "that should really be my name, the lazy blogger." We laughed and then I said "wait, the lazy blonde! haha!' and she looked at me and said "wait, I love that!' I said "oh shit, me too. Wait am I rebranding?"

Then I quickly looked on IG to see if that was even available (it wasn't) and kinda got a little defeated (we'll get more into that later...), but then we started joking and throwing out other spellings. Once we got to the restaurant and sat down, I started googling the spelling options to see if they were even available. thelazyblonde.com is already a German domain that isn't being used-if I attempted to try to use that I would've been _thelazyblonde on IG. But I really didn't want to try to figure out how to get that .com or a .com close. Jen then had a light bulb moment "why don't you spell it layz?" and I wrote it out in text and bam-the layz blonde was born!

What this means for content and my blogging future?
Well nothing really. The only thing I think this actually means-well besides from the obvious URL change, is that I now feel 110% comfortable with my blog name and brand. I'm not going to say that polished & bubbly never felt like me, but at the core, the names reflected two of my favorite things-nail polish and champagne. But I sort of always felt people assumed I was saying those were words to describe me, which they kinda do, but idk I'm not really the most polished (I think of royalty as polished) person. polished & bubbly will still always be super near and dear to me though...I built that blog up and made a lot of friends, collabs, and partnerships under p&b and I'll always love that time.  p&b took me from a girl just trying to figure out what blogging was under a wordpress account to a full blown blogger with her own domain and .com.

I feel like lately I've been defeated on all levels-besides professionally (my day job while super challenging rn, is a-okay), but personally and blogging-ly (everything is having a "ly" so why not add it, haha!) I just have zero motivation. I feel like I don't fit in anywhere. My content is lacking because I was tired of putting so much into it and getting nowhere. I know that a lot of other people in the blogging community feel the same way, but I've created a fresh start.  Now as the layz blonde, I can feel like I'm more likely to share my content on my personal socials and I'm re-inspired.

I have a lot of content ideas and I'm just going to go back to posting what I want and not feel like I have to fall into some cookie cutter blogger mold. By being the layz blonde and staying true to my "I'd rather be laying down" life motto, I will strive to always remain true to myself on this platform. So if I don't post for a week or two, I'm not going to feel like "great, there goes any readers I have", instead I'm going to get back on the horse and post and know that my readers want me to be me.

I am looking to post Tuesdays & Thursdays, so be sure to keep an eye out for those && I'll have a REALLY fun and different GIVEAWAY coming soon in December ;)

If you have any questions for me, let me know in the comments! Until next time, babes!
